Getting involved in stock photography gives people the opportunity of having their photos reviewed and potentially purchased by a variety of global consumers. While this field is incredibly lucrative there is also a high probability of failure. There are a variety of reasons photos are rejected and understanding what the pitfalls are give you the opportunity to avoid them and become successful. Read on to find out how you can sell stock photography successfully:-

The first factor for success is quality. Stock photography sites only accept photos of the highest quality so to avoid rejection off the bat you need to only submit photos that are crystal clear. The key to superior quality, apart from your talent, is a high quality camera. Using a minimum of 5 mega pixels set to maximum resolution should give you the quality you need to have your photos accepted. The key to making money in this business requires that your photos be accepted so that potential clients can actually purchase them and to make this happen you need to set your photos apart from the rest.

The second thing to remember is that you don’t want to burden the web site administrator by submitting 30-40 pictures at a time. Quality photos, correct keywords and a creative take on an ordinary item are how you can avoid your digital photograph from being rejected. Following these tips will not only help you succeed in this field but outshine your competitors who sell stock photography online.
