Rolleiflex MiniDigi is styled like the original 6×6 format camera, continuing the Rolleiflex tradition, and is easy to grip and hold. The effective image resolution of the Rolleiflex MiniDigi is 2304 x 2304 pixels, for a total of 5 megapixels, and all images shot by the camera are in the traditional square frame format. The camera can automatically focus from a minimum distance of 10cm, and images are stored on mini SD memory cards. One 256MB memory card can store around 250 photos. The MiniDigi’s filming style is unique in that it allows users to look at the monitor from above while shooting, and the design closely mimics the original including a crank lever that is turned to trigger the camera’s shutter in preparation for the next shot. The Rolleiflex MiniDigi was released in Japan on February 25th and is scheduled for release abroad on April 1st.
